
Introducing Queensland’s Newest Basketball Statisticians
Basketball Queensland is pleased to introduce the state’s newest Basketball Statisticians, after 10 up-and-coming technical officials received their Level 1 accreditation in June.
The Queensland Basketball Statistician Group recently moved Level 1 accreditation courses online due to COVID-19 restrictions, allowing greater access to training for the Queensland basketball community.
The Level 1 course is the first step towards becoming an accredited Statistician and is recognised across Australia.
The course provides participants with valuable insight into the theory of basketball statistics as well as getting some hands-on practical experience (slightly modified for the online course) to prepare them for on court action.
Our newly accredited officials join another 44 Statisticians who have achieved their Level 1 accreditation since April this year.
