Extending BQ Registrations for Existing Members
Basketball Queensland (BQ) has been working on extending registrations for our existing members ahead of basketball registrations reopening across the state on Monday, 15 June.
We have automatically extended the expiry date of existing BQ registrations by 120 days for approximately 30,000 members, who were registered as of 13 March 2020 when all basketball activity was suspended due to COVID-19.
This extension means our participants can enjoy a full years’ registration with BQ despite the disruption caused by COVID-19.
What This Means for You
My registration should have expired while basketball was suspended, what happens now?
If your BQ registration was due to expire while basketball was suspended, then we have already automatically extended your expiry date.
This means that while your BQ registration is active, you will not need to pay the BQ portion of your registration fee when you re-register with your association.
I registered with my team just before COVID-19 basketball suspensions, will my BQ registration still be extended?
All participants who were registered as of 13 March 2020 have had their BQ registration automatically extended, regardless of when they registered. For example, if your BQ registration was due to expire on 1 March, 2021, your registration will now expire on 29 June 2021.
