Basketball QLD State Performance Manager Leaves For Gladstone Regional Council Offer
Basketball Queensland wish to advise that Brady Walmsley, the State Performance Manager for the North, has decided to accept an offer from the Gladstone Regional Council and take a career opportunity as Community Development Officer – Sport and Recreation.
As such Brady will be finishing his employment with Basketball Queensland on Wednesday, October 3.
Brady had this to say about his departure:
“I have enjoyed my time in this role and will genuinely miss working with my friends and colleagues, but I am excited about the challenges which lay ahead for me and the opportunity to continue pursuing my professional ambitions. I will stay involved with coaching and am sure our paths will cross in a Basketball stadium around the state.
I wanted to take this chance to offer my appreciation for everyone’s contributions to our program during my time in the role. All successes have come as a result of a collaborative approach and your involvement has had a direct impact – I thank you for that. The program continues to go from strength to strength and I look forward to seeing further North Queensland success on the national and international stage.”
General Manager Game Development, Warwick Cann, added:
“Brady has helped drive noticeble achievements for BQ and specifically in athlete and coach development for the very large regional area from Bundaberg to Cairns. His management and coaching contribution over the past two years has been significant and extremely valued. It’s pleasing to know that Brady still remains in the region and within the BQ coaching system”.
He will be sadly missed, but we would like to sincerely thank Brady for his valuable contribution over the past two years and wish him all the best with his new role with the Gladstone Regional Council!
