
2020 QSL Draws Released
As the excitement builds for the inaugural Queensland State League (QSL) season, Basketball Queensland (BQ) is pleased to officially release our 2020 QSL draws.
All four divisions, QSL Men’s Division 1, QSL Women’s Division 1, QSL Men’s Division 2 and QSL Women’s Division 2, are set to tip off a guaranteed action-packed season in just over two weeks on Saturday, 8 August.
QSL Men’s Division 1
2019 QBL Men’s Champion side Brisbane Capitals get their Men’s Div 1 campaign underway away to Ipswich Force on August 8 while a stacked Red City Roar side head to Bendigo Bank Stadium to face Logan Thunder.
2019 QBL Men’s runners up Gold Coast Rollers have the home court advantage against USC Rip City at 7pm that same night, while their close city rivals North Gold Coast Seahawks head up the M1 to face Northside Wizards.
Sunshine Coast Phoenix Teal head out west to take on the Toowoomba Mountaineers, while Southern Districts Spartans host South West Metro Pirates in the final game of the season opening night.
The Toowoomba Mountaineers team go back to back in R1, making the trip to USC Rip City on Sunday, 9 August, with tip off times still to be confirmed.
QSL Women’s Division 1
2019 QBL Women’s Champions Southern Districts Spartans hope to start their 2020 season with bang when they host South West Metro Pirates at Rowland Cowan Stadium while 2019 runners up Gold Coast Rollers welcome USC Rip City to Carrara Stadium.
North Gold Coast Seahawks make the trip to Brendale Stadium to face the Northside Wizards while Brisbane Capitals and Red City Roar face Ipswich Force and Logan Thunder respectively at 6pm on opening night.
The Toowoomba Mountaineers play their first R1 game on Saturday night when they host the Sunshine Coat Phoenix Teal in Toowoomba before they make the trip to the Sunshine Coast themselves, this time to face USC Rip City on Sunday, 9 August.
Be sure to check in with your local Association in regard to ticketing information and any spectator limits if you’re planning on heading to a game this season.
