Applications are now open for coaching positions for the 2019 Under 20 Queensland State Teams! Candidates for Head Coaching positions will be shortlisted and candidates on the shortlist will be interviewed in the first two week of August 2018.

Luke Cann was the Head Coach for the Under 18 Boys South at the Australian Junior Championships where his team won Silver. We wanted to find out what Luke’s key learnings were from his AJC experience and what he believes to be the keys to success in coaching.
Lisa Brennan and Rebecca Schatz were the assistant coaches for the North and South Under 18 National teams respectively. Both coaches are multiple state representatives for Queensland.
Last weekend, 20 coaches from a variety of coaching backgrounds and experience levels came together to continue their journey in learning our game and how to effectively pass on their knowledge and passion to players in an Association Coaching course held at the Queensland Academy of Sport at Nathan.
The 2018 Under 16 State Championships are just two days away, and will be held at the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre from the 10th – 14th of January.

11 Coaches took part in this year’s coaches study tour which involved unrestricted access to some of the most successful basketball programs across the United States. The touring party left Australia on the 8th of October and returned some 20 days later at the end of October.
